The terms that apply when you use the LangScribe iOS app, including subscriptions and credits.
By using the LangScribe iOS app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You can use LangScribe without an account, in which case your library stays on your device. If you sign in with Google, your library entries and subtitles are stored in the cloud so you can use them across devices. Video files are never uploaded. You are responsible for the videos and subtitles you use and for having the right to use them, and for keeping your Google account secure.
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse engineer it, no unlawful content, no automated use of the translation or AI features outside the app, and no attempts to access other people's data.
LangScribe offers two auto-renewable monthly subscriptions, Pro and Pro+, and one-time credit packs. In the iOS app these are sold through In-App Purchase. The price shown on the purchase button is the price charged by Apple for your storefront and may differ from prices on other platforms. Pro includes 2,500 credits each month. Pro+ includes 6,000 credits each month. Both include a cloud library of up to 2,000 videos. Credit packs add the number of credits shown on that pack and do not include a subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically each month, and your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. You can turn off renewal or change plans in Settings, Apple ID, Subscriptions. If you upgrade from Pro to Pro+, Apple charges the price difference under Apple's rules and the additional credits for that period are added. The iOS app does not offer a downgrade button. If you change to Pro in Apple's subscription settings, the lower plan applies at the next renewal. Canceling stops future renewals. You keep the plan until the end of the paid month, and credits already added remain usable. If a renewal charge fails, Apple may retry the charge and may allow a grace period. Access continues through a grace period Apple provides. It ends when the paid period ends if the charge is not collected. Price changes, if any, are shown by Apple before they apply.
AI subtitles, AI translation and AI word examples use credits. A subscription adds its credits each time a monthly payment succeeds. Top-up credits are added once the purchase completes. Costs are shown in the app before you use them. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and do not expire while your account exists, including after you cancel. If an AI request fails, the credits it used are returned automatically. AI output can contain mistakes.
We keep improving LangScribe and may add, change or remove features. Free translation relies on public third-party services that may be unavailable at times. The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
You can stop using LangScribe at any time. In Settings you can delete your cloud library and delete your account. Deleting the account signs you out and deletes the library and subtitles tied to the account. It does not cancel an Apple subscription by itself. Cancel the subscription in Apple's subscription settings to stop renewal. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
